Registration

The Free Trial is available for 14 days and includes all features, unlimited number of workspaces, unlimited users and 5 GB of storage.
After logging in for the first time, you are redirected to main page, where few tips how to start using the application pop out, however we were missing some introduction video, which would summarize all the features and especially explain settings. There is a link Help, which leads to page with videos about each of the sections, however you have to find this link first...
Functionality
Huddle includes all collaboration functions we would expect: file sharing (uploading files, commenting / editing on the content), whiteboards, calendar (scheduling events as well as scheduling online conferences for all workspace users), tasks and task management, messages, discussion and team management (possibility to see profile of each user from a workspace). It includes very nicely done system of notifications, which sends out emails on task status change, upcoming deadline of a task (auto-reminder), file change, upcoming events and other events, according to the settings. As for file management, Huddle also supports full versioning history of each file, which makes it easy to work on the same documents, keeping track of different versions, and also includes approval workflow and tracking of who accessed a specific document.
The main idea of how this application works is based on workspaces, where collaboration is always among users within one workspace. However at your profile dashboard you can see news, messages, tasks and files from all workspaces you are member of. Within a workspace, you can also create a team and then communicate with people from that team.
Extras
Besides the main functionalitiy there are couple of features we especially liked. One of them is integration with desktop applications. Special plug-in makes it possible to access documents stored online in Huddle from Office desktop applications, like MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as save documents from these applications straight to Huddle.
The second practical feature is integration with Outlook and Google calendar, which gives you the option to push your tasks, meetings and conferences from all your Huddle workspaces into your calendar.
Huddle provides integration with even more applications, besides already mentioned Office and calendar. Installing Huddle as a plugin for Xobni (address book), gives you a way to share tasks with contacts in your address book. Extension for Google Chrome gives an option to access your workspace quickly through web browser. ShareIt is a small desktop application that gives you option to drag and drop files, add email addresses of users you want to share those with and upload the content into Huddle. As for network apps, you can connect your Huddle workspace with LinkedIn and use those connections as contacts.
Using Huddle
Application works well in all web browsers (Google Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Internet Explorer), and also following mobile devices are supported: iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android.
Huddle offers different packages with additional functionalities and features, including customization and branding (own logos, colour theme) and 16 different languages. It includes extensive help and support including text help, videos and possibility to post question, you just have to go to the ‘Help’ section for it.
Pricing
As mentioned above, there is a free trial version available for 14 days. Within this time, you can upgrade from the trial version. Pricing is individual, calculated upon request.
Conclusion
Huddle is a simple application covering all aspects of Collaboration management. With simple user interface it is very easy to use and a system of workspaces and teams within them makes it very clear and simple to share information with other users. It is an ideal tool for those who are often working remotely and are in need for good online working environment. Support of all web browsers and various mobile devices makes it easy to access Huddle at any time.
